Richly appointed rooms invite one into this grand suite, featuring high ceilings, longleaf yellow pine floors and antique mahogany bedroom furniture rescued from the fire of the original house of 1885. THIS IS GRANBURY'S FINEST SUITE - an architectural delight! Original beveled french doors open from the
bedroom to a large solarium with thirteen antique windows with wood trim. The visible 300-400 year-old live oak tree is highlighted with mercury vapor lights for nighttime enjoyment. The whole room seems as though you are in a tree house. The private bath features the original custom-made 6 ½' claw and ball foot tub with an exquisite European hand-held shower system. A one-of-a-kind 1905 skylight with chicken wire lights up the bathroom beautifully.
The bed is adorned with a crown canopy to the high ceiling, and sheers to the bed. The mauve and aqua Iris quilt is hand appliquéd and quilted from an original design by Delores Yoder of Paris, Texas. A Craftsman desk, floral sofa and comfy chairs make the solarium a favorite place for two or a small group. $245
