This popular suite, which spans the upstairs front of the house, features a wall of antique windows with wood trim and antique screen doors leading to its private balcony. Perfect for sunset views and relaxation, the 100 year-old pecan trees surrounding the balcony are softly lit in the evening with mercury vapor lights. The mellow, antique longleaf yellow pine floors and high ceilings immediately puts one in the theme of the room of an English Baron who has just returned from an African safari. The chest of drawers and the bed furniture are 1930's golden veneered mahogany, with sheer drapery from the ceiling canopy on the bed.
From the colors of rich black and gold, the antique pine trunk, the English pictures, to the faux zebra skin rug, the safari-English theme is complete. Enjoy relaxing in the alcove with English wingback chairs while reading our assortment of magazines and books. Private bathroom with shower. Pictured in Texas Highway Magazine 6/96. $225

"What a delightful experience this has been! You have a gift for making people feel at home. I love the Baron's Balcony. It is such comfortable suite. We had such fun sitting on the front porch and in the garden relaxing & taking in the view. The breakfast was so delicious & made even better by the conversation with the other guests. Thanks so much. We'll be back!"
